"Pretty Penny" shoot
Rick's first short for Mark Pontz and the gang at Fine Living Lancaster was shot in Lancaster on January 8, 2012. Katie Hayek of the film, "Mighty Macs" stars and Lori Dietrich makes her theatrical debut. Post production work is underway and this movie will ready to debut soon.

Rick Hansberry Short Film Showcase
On Monday, January 30, 2012, Rick will host a special screening of his short films at The Ware Center, Millersville University's new Visual and Performing Arts Center. The program will run from 7:30 p.m. 'til 9:00 p.m. and will include a Q & A session after each film. More information is available at:
"Freak" enters production
Rick's short film script about bullying is set to begin production in Germany. Producer/Director, William Flink is preparing the shooting script and pre-production is underway.
Rick and William hope to enter the film in several international film festivals in 2012.
"Michael Shumway Project"
Rick Hansberry' is working with Producer/Director, Michael Shumway on developing a script to be shot in the Spring of 2012. The story is being kept under wraps at the moment but it will be a feature length film. This will be the first collaboration for Rick with Michael Shumway.
"Branches" sets sales goal at Christmas
A flurry of internet sales just before Christmas took the film over its sales goal for the year ending 2011. While a distribution deal is not out of the question, it seems that "Branches" may only stay in limited release.
"Expiration" update
Rick's psychological thriller "Expiration" is set to be the first film released by Frequency Pictures.

"Untitled Thriller Project"
Rick Hansberry' is working with Chris Armstrong and Elysian Pictures on an as yet untitled thriller. The film is in its early stages of development. More information will be posted in the coming months.
Backyard Studios continues its option on Rick Hansberry's screenplay
Rick's character-driven coming of age story, "Setting Sun" could see production in 2012. Backyard Studios and Executive Producer Ian Trueb have set up a Facebook page for a film and plan a fourth production video soon with updates.
