"Rick Hansberry Film Festival"
On Wednesday, March 27, 2013 The Manheim Township Public Library will hold a short film showcase featuring 6 short films by Rick Hansberry. Rick wll be on hand to give insights to the making of each film and host a Q & A session on each movie. In addition, Rick will screen a preview of his upcoming sci-fi thriller, "Alienate." This feature-length film will be released this summer. Admission is free but reservations are required. Contact the Manheom Township Public Library or Rick for more information.

"Incomparable" starts pre-production
Rick has teamed with Cuyle Carvin and Alex Tucker on a new short film, targeted for shooting in the summer of 2013. The inspirational film is based on actual events and w be shot in New Hampsire.
"Chess Mates" is online
Rick's only stop-action animation film, "Chess Mates" is on-line and viewable as a contestant in The 60 Second Film Festival. Watch the film at: www.60secondfilmfest.com. It'll only take a minute.
New Katie Hayek project
Rick has penned a romantic dramedy script that will star Katie Hayek ("Mighty Macs"). The project is in its early stages but Rick will team once again with Director, Mark Pontz and Katie Hayek, the team that wrapped "Pretty Penny" in 2012. Watch for more news on this project this summer.
"Freak" delays production
Rick's short film script about bullying has had to postpone filming in Germany for a few months. Producer/Director, William Flink is working on securing casting and locations and shooting may take place in the fall of 2013.
Rick and William hope to enter the film in several international film festivals in 2013.
"Expiration" update
Rick's psychological thriller "Expiration" is set to be the first film released by Frequency Pictures.

"Untitled Thriller Project"
Rick Hansberry' is working with Chris Armstrong and Elysian Pictures on an as yet untitled thriller. The film is in its early stages of development. More information will be posted in the coming months.
Backyard Studios continues its option on Rick Hansberry's screenplay
Rick's character-driven coming of age story, "Setting Sun" could see production in 2013. Backyard Studios and Executive Producer Ian Trueb have set up a Facebook page for a film and plan a fourth production video soon with updates.
